after 2017’s decidedly chipper indie rock debut, their sophomore sees them stretch out creatively, exploring areas of alt-pop with a more emotive shade to their songwriting – there’s great depth to dive into and plenty of hooks to keep us back for more and more.

On their sophomore album, the St. Paul, Minnesota-bred band employ a very deliberate self-reflection. The result is a selection of songs that drift into much darker terrain, but unfold with a frenetic yet fragile beauty that makes even the most painful moments feel glorious. Partly recorded at Steve Albini's Electrical Audio in Chicago, the album’s distinctly inventive arrangements include an expanded use of drum machines and synth. This will appeal to fans of indie bands with a stylish flair, such as vampire weekend, glass animals and Bombay bicycle club.
