Legacy 12 (rsd19)
“No-one has done northern angst on LSD quite like this” - NME - Mansun were one of the most iconic and innovative British bands of the late 90s.
Having signed to the legendary record label Parlophone (home to The Beatles, Radiohead and Sigur Ros) they released four albums as well as a popular and now rare series of EP’s. Kscope, having now acquired this impressive catalogue, are running a thorough re-issue series that delves into a treasure trove of previously unreleased audio and visual material, including the much awaited 21st-anniversary edition of their experimental Top 10 album ‘Six’ (#6 UK charts) and its first single ‘Legacy’ (#7 UK Singles Charts). The single’s lyrics mocked pop and rock bands vying for stardom, but with tongue firmly in cheek as the memorable official promo video featured puppet versions of themselves on their pathway to fame. The EP was released in two parts in 1998, each with four songs, and is now released on one 12” for the first time - on exclusive rsd19 red vinyl with an OBI wrap sleeve similar to the original 7” single packaging.
