‘THINKING ABOUT YOU’ is the newest addition to the increasingly indelible catalogue for Australian band PRESS CLUB.

The song’s bedrock is a bitterly sharp guitar part. Abrupt, uninvited, and out of the blue – the embodiment of a freaks tongue, cooing unbridled down the phone line. The song reaches its composure as an early noughties-esque, New York City garage number… but it’s unmistakably PRESS CLUB. Again with the inescapable drumming of Frank Lees, and the interlaced, angst ridden guitar and bass parts. Foster’s vocal meanders commandingly aloft above it all. “I remember the words being whispered down the end of the phone… ‘I’ve been thinking about you. I’ve been thinking about you. I’ve been thinking about you. Is that alright?’” Singer, Natalie Foster recounts the moment she realised the repeated nuisance phone calls in the middle of the night were coming from a more sinister place than she had realised. The band again opted to self-produce the song and chose the 1970’s Neve console at Woodstock Studios in Balaclava, Melbourne as their workbench. As with all of their recordings to date the tune was put to tape entirely live. Guitarist and principal producer Greg Rietwyk remembers: “It was 100% integral to the song that we cut Natalie’s vocals live, there was just no way to elicit the same emotional response she has with the lyrics by overdubbing.” ‘THINKING ABOUT YOU’ is a vivid depiction of being stalked by an unknown. An experience that frequently rears its grotesque head and is just plain terrifying the world over. “With the invasion of privacy, I’m no longer flattered or curious but angry and paranoid.” - Natalie Foster.
