if you're coming to this expecting a melodic psych record then you're in for a surprise as this is a restrained, shadowy set of soundscapes created by Anton Newcombe on behalf of the Brian Jonestown Massacre for an imaginary French film.

a soundtrack that pays homage to the great European film directors of the late 50’s & 60’s, such as François Truffaut & Jean-Luc Godard (to name but two), Guests on this daring symphonic experience are French chanteuse & multi-instrumentalist SoKo & Italian actress, singer & director Asia Argento. "There's almost nothing left of the acid psychedelic sound that defined the Brian Jonestown Massacre aesthetic so far, only slightly filtering, though in a 60s cocktail sound disguise, through 'Elle S’Échappe'. Now everything is dark & obscure, ghostly, as if moving in slow motion, bursting here & there in a few powerful & desperate explosions, mainly when Soko & Argento get to sing" - the quietus
