Tim-burgess-approved weirdo bedroom pop – Koh picks at threads of 60’s pop, 70’s space and 80’s hooks to create a diy masterpiece that’ll undoubtedly draw the comparisons to flaming lips, ariel pink & Kelley Stoltz but sounds completely his own.
This is the sound of someone truly going in their own direction – koh restlessly flicks between genres and styles that, in the hands of someone less talented, could be disorientating, but works spectacularly well here. He’ll happily throw up a kinks-y verse into a sludgy synth laden bridge into a poppy 80’s chorus in one song and make it work in a way that we previously thought only wayne coyne was capable of. Marvellous.
