2 intimate & introspective pieces from the british composer-guitarist, based around swirling, cyclical acoustic 12-string & nylon string guitar.

in many ways, these songs more closely resemble blackshaw’s earlier work, with charlotte glasson contributing beautifully restrained clarinet, saxophone, flute & violin playing to the solid backbone of guitar. there are echoes of french impressionist composers satie, debussy & ravel in the song ‘holly’, while ‘boo, forever’ even sees a nod to the takoma guitarists which first enthused & inspired him to start fingerpicking. this ranks among some of his finest & most beautiful work yet.
