re-issue of wild nothing's debut, full of dreamy, carefree synth-pop songs that linger with an inexplicable sense of regret.

wild nothing is the solo-project of jack tatum (previously of tropical punk band facepaint & the singer/songwriter project jack & the whale) whose music is inspired by a long time love affair with nostalgia. in the summer of 2009 the virginia tech-college student decided to embark on his first creative solo project playing bass, guitar, synthesiser & drums while recording in his home-studio. he emerged with this unique brand of dreamy pop influenced by bands like my bloody valentine, shop assistants, go-betweens & cocteau twins. frail vocals come warped in an oozing neon haze with carefully orchestrated synth-pop arrangements, trebly guitar riffs & tattered drum machines blending together to create an intriguing, texturally rich glo-pop album that could come only from the young at heart. highly recommended for fans of the pains of being pure at heart.
