A selection of superb tracks originally issued by the independent label Lazy Records in 1986 and 1987 right before the band signed with RCA.

Post-punk pop produced with an injection of pure energy by the band themselves, who seem to have beamed in straight from 1969 and were led by Blondie-like vocalist Tracy Tracy. The Smiths singer Morrissey was counted amongst their most ardent of fans and was often seen wearing a Primitives t-shirt.
