Laundromat (AKA Brighton’s Toby Hayes) has slowly emerged from the DIY scene, carving his own path as an innovative songwriter.

His languid style & deftly created songs present a contemporary take on the familiar soundworlds of Beck or Eels.

From the label that brought us the most recent JOHN album & new shop faves Panic Shack, comes an artist that has been causing quite a stir with his much lauded live shows & his speedily sold out string of 7“ EP releases. ‘En Bloc‘ is in fact a collection of all 3 of those 7“ releases – a fabulous reflection on a fast-developing artist, championed by 6Music & much loved by us.

Laundromat says "These nine tracks were written (really slowly) over a number of years, and it's massively cathartic to release them as this 3 EP collection. Mainly because despite the fact that this isn’t an ‘album’ release, it was certainly written as one. So to finally deliver these tunes in the order that they were meant to be listened to feels real good I have to admit. ‘En Bloc’ - 3 EP Collection also includes a number of segue pieces that link the songs - a nice big feast for the ears."

Hayes draws from a broad range of influences including Kim Deal, Broadcast, Jaki Liebezeit, Jason Albertini, Madlib & Gonjasufi, while also citing film as a huge source of intrigue.
