Slacker jams that would make Courtney Barnett proud, all the catchiness of our girl and some 90’s postcard records-y jangle make this an astonishingly fun debut.
We reckon they’ve been schooled at the same school of wobbly guitars and driving rhythms as the aforementioned Barnett (lots of triffids, pastels and orange juice records we reckon), but have taken a more upbeat route which keeps ‘boat’ light, airy and very catchy. These young Amsterdam-ers have been on a lot of radars for some time now, and this album is a perfect delivery on all of the hype that they’ve generated.
