Released: 20th Jan 2017

recalling the jazzy vibes of the Talking Loud sound & Roots manuva's honest dubby rhymes, this is a record steeped in the sounds of hip hop past but brought bang up to date.

the Croydon rapper’s first full-length is a close-knit affair, featuring guest spots from his mum and dad, and close pals Rebel Kleff, Tom Misch & Kwes. there’s also a feature spot from British rapper Jehst on ‘No Worries’, but this is all about the world immediately around the songwriter. “'Yesterday’s Gone' is a jazz-inflected dream a world away from the bloated showbiz rap clogging up the airwaves – it’s not an exaggeration to claim that it is one the most honest, soulful and inspiring debut British rap albums since Roots Manuva’s 'Brand New Second Hand' from 1999” 8.5/10 – the line of best fit
