Unexpectedly, these leeds mainstays have come up with a most brilliantly enjoyable album of warped ‘n scuzzy electro-indie-pop, complete with scratchy guitars, scratchier harmonies, and hooks akimbo.

They are transformed from energetic alt-rock to exuberant pop that seems informed by the likes of stereolab, hookworms, virginia wing, and jane weaver, but with their singular quirkiness preciously intact. This ain’t no throwaway set, though, with oddly moving passages and dark neurosis creeping at the corners of these addictive songs. brix smith even turns up on the title track to make sure this an uncommon contender for end-of-year lists for 2018. "A communicable joy in weird noise" 8/10 - uncut
