The saxophonist and composer unfurls a moving, tinkling set of jazzy ambient meditating on the theme of degenerative disease in a beautifully minimal style.

The textures this man extracts from his sax are an extraordinary new world for the instrument to inhabit – subtle, ethereal tones that push emotional buttons whilst carrying through with some more familiar smoky noir inflections. Though the caretaker’s thematic explorations of memory loss come to mind, this is more a recording of quiet detail and restraint that you’ll want to cosy up with.
