soft arrows

all through the sinew

self released

limited, numbered cd (all handmade, with unique photo on the sleeve)

Released: 25th May 2012

a sound that takes the wavering, bending melodies of shoegaze & tempers them with the a minimalist twang that nods towards old garage rock & surf records.

soft arrows are a 2-piece from brighton, formed of tom denney & russell eke, who for the past year have been forging away at subscribing to both notions that “less-is-more” & “more-is-more”, the band use their limited tools of guitar, drums & one voice to create songs that are personal & introspective, while making big noises that demand attention. opener ‘beezark mountains"’sets the tone, with 6 minutes of thundering drums, a wave of guitars & urgent yet understated vocals, coming across like shoegaze gone post-punk. 2 people walking the line of minimal-expansiveness, making tender noise.
