a collection of rarities & b-sides dating between 2003's 'dear catastrophe waitress' & 2010's 'write about love'.

From the outset 'TEC' is a joyous celebration of the band's body of work with the Avalanches re-imagning 'I'm a Cuckoo' with light flutes, tribal percussion & manic chanting. Gems such as 'eight station of the cross kebab' & 'stop look and listen' deserve to be heard & unlike too many b-side compilations, the quality of both songwriting & production values is of a consistently high standard throughout. Even 'Belle & Sebastian's off-cuts are inspired & 'TEC' exemplifies just why they are yet to write a bad record. "the gold standard when it comes to career-spanning collections of non-album cuts" - Line of Best Fit.
