As the hottest July in memory closes out, a man definitely not known for his love of Summer-attire, is making his way back to us, his “hometown”. He’s honouring his return with an epic, sold-out-in-a-flash Preston Park show, with his trusty Bad Seeds in tow. We’re going to be seeing you all there, right?
If you were lucky enough to purchase physical tickets from us, this is your reminder to swing by the shop and pick them up before the big day!
Here’s the final line up & info, in case you’ve not seen it yet, or need some encouragement to snag a last minute resell ticket:
In addition to the show, Nick & his team have been busy organising various venue takeovers (including our humble abode) & special happenings. Make sure you stay up to date with the various announcements through his channels.
“I'm pushing my wheel of love up Jubilee Street”
And then this one’s a bit damn special, eh?! In 2013, Brighton’s then-boy-next-door, Nick Cave (plus added Bad Seeds), released a transcendental ode to a salacious street, a pebble’s throw from our shop doors. We’ve been working with his team to create an exclusive limited pressing of the aforementioned track (beefed up with a previously unreleased live version) on an eye-catching 10” Picture Disc that fully plays into his love of our tatty seaside town / city.
O Wow O Wow (How Wonderful It Is)!
These beauts will be available at the show, BUT we will have them first! They will be available in-store only (at his team’s request) from 9am on Thursday 30th July (and through the following weekend, if / while stocks last). So hotfoot it down to secure yourself a copy that you won’t have to carry around in the sun on the big day.
And, whilst you’re down here, you’ll also be able to peruse the extensive Nick Cave merch shop takeover, pick up discounted Bad Seeds records, pop a letter to Nick in the Red Right Hand postbox, and maybe have a slouch in one of the specially branded deckchairs that have been made for the event (which will also be on sale here).
Oh, and we also need to mention that we’ve redesigned our famous “I see those bloody bags with my name on everywhere” Nick Cave totes, especially for the big event. Available in a celebratory black & gold design from 30th July in a very limited quantity, over the counter only for the time being. Grab one while they last!
