The Oscillation

From the massive racket of album opener, ‘War On The Mind’, to the title track’s pharmacologically soothing swirl, The Oscillation are back in the finest of fettle for their second dose of Dinked action.

Demian Castellanos, the project’s driving force, retreated into a more rural setting for ‘The Start Of The End’ and it seems that cutting himself off from the outside world has allowed for a thoughtful exploration of his inner world - this time focusing on a more optimistic outlook.

Castellanos says: “I just wrote with the mindset to put out something positive.”

Fortunately, in doing so, The Oscillation haven’t lost any of their trademark space-rock bombast. The dark tones and themes that emerge are pointedly juxtaposed by an overwhelming lightness of being. It’s a shedding of weight. A willingness to soar. And an aspect which is furthered still on the Dinked Exclusive bonus CD of mind-expanding remixes and extended versions.
