Hope St came out 10 years ago to the day – March 21st 2011 – and, to celebrate, the band are delighted to announce that the album will be released for the first time on vinyl this September.

If you were a Scottish music fan in 2011 you couldn’t have missed Glasgow four-man band Kassidy. They were on the cover of every music supplement and magazine, all over the radio with tracks from their debut album Hope St. and rapidly climbing the ranks at all your favourite festivals and venues. Hope St. is a timeless, inspired 12 song collection, drawing from many corners of the musical universe – the early R&B of Howlin’ Wolf, the funk and disco of Sly & The Family Stone, the 21st century blues of The Black Keys and the Laurel Canyon vibes of Crosby, Nash, Stills and Young. An infectious, energetic and graceful piece of work from a band who were still in their early twenties, it’s loaded with optimism and melancholy in equal measure.
