Yes, we’ve talked a lot about the talent that is Jim Ghedi before & in fact, we brought you his last album through Dinked too (& you rightly gobbled them all up!).

But his 4th solo album pushes the boundaries of modern folk music in ways akin to Lankum’s recent output, so we want to make sure you pay extra special attention to this profoundly bold sonic statement. It’s the most rich, far-reaching and ambitious work that Ghedi has created to date. It’s a beaut.

Enlisting an expansive musical palette of traditional folk songs alongside broader band-based compositions, he’s crafted this mesmerising and all-enveloping world with the help of a wide cast of incredibly talented musicians. Contributions come from the likes of Dean Honer from I Monster, Lankum’s Cormac MacDiarmada, David Grubb, Daniel Bridgwood-Hill, Neal Heppleston, Joe Danks, Ruth Clinton from Landless, and Amelia Baker from Cinder Well.
