Having initially commanded our attention a while back with their animated on-stage-and-in-the-audience live performances (we were blessed with hosting one ourselves), our hopes were sky high for the Yorkshiremen’s debut album.

And owing to its groovy barrage of crunchy, stomping skronk-post-punk, we are very happy with what we got.

Bound together by a recognition of frenetic energy and rhythm and leaving any wider ideological goal open to interpretation by the listener, it’s clear the release of their debut album heralds the next level for DEADLETTER. Having played together in groups prior, DEADLETTER was formed at the start of 2020, days before the pandemic struck. After some lineup experimentation, the addition of Will King (Guitar), Sam Jones (Guitar) and Poppy Richler (Saxophone) completed the group.
