Released on 30th January 1995, the band’s eighth single was “New Generation” the third single to be taken from the “Dog Man" album.

The single peaked at number 21 in the UK charts. The B side was “ Together”, an early co writing credit and the first released recording for Brett Anderson and new guitarist Richard Oakes . This song did not appear on “Coming Up”, the first album by the new line up, released in 1996.
