· Skinny Lister aka Daniel Heptinstall, Lorna Thomas, Maxwell Thomas, Sam Brace and Dan Gray are the latest new signings to Rob Da Banks’ Sunday Best Recordings label, a label known for its anything goes signing policy (so long as it’s outstanding of course!). Mixing up furious melee of English folk, in your face shanties, traditional ditties and their own infectious compositions the band came together in the summer of 2009 united by their love of folk, jigs and the outdoors. · Their debut album ‘Forge & Flagon’ was recorded in deepest darkest Snowdonia with producer David Wrench (Bat for Lashes, James Yorkston) and features 12 unforgettable tracks that will appeal to a wide cross section of fans - from fans of traditional quality folk, classic songwriting and and alternative sing-along’s – think Mumford & Sons and Lucy Rose crossed with Stornaway via The Dubliners / The Pogues. · ‘Plough & Orion / ‘If The Gaff Don’t Let Us Down’ will be released on a special limited 7” single exclusively for Record Store Day on April 21st. · Beautifully packaged, the single is heavy 7” vinyl in an inner bag, in a printed outer which is then housed in a specially hand crafted fabric sleeve which has been hand printed and sewn by Skinny Lister personally and comes with an individually numbered ‘Handmade By Skinny Lister’ label for final personalisation and authenticity. · Limited to 300 copies for the UK and Ireland.
