METZ
METZ
SUB POP
with a frantic nod to sonic youth, queens of the stone age, shellac, The Pixies, The Jesus Lizard & Husker Du, metz carve out some proper heavy, muscular new business with their debut.
the Canadian power trio channel the spirit of early 90's grunge without blatantly ripping it off. they deliver a loud, intense, testosterone driven fury that's pretty much one-paced......but it's a pace we love & it doesn't let up! they play like one brutally heavy instrument with three heads, slashing heavy-gauge strings, bending guitar & bass necks in weird unison, along with what is some of the loudest drumming you’ve ever heard. "makes a deliciously bad impression" 8/10 - nme, "pure but artfully rendered chaos" 8.5/10 - pitchfork.
