JIAOLONG
caribou's jiaolong imprint delivers another very limited 12" from toro y moi in his les sins guise; funky, dancefloor filling house meets exotic, atmospheric dubstep.
a-side 'grind' is more recognisable in relation to his toro y moi work, but with a clearer influence from house/disco music & basslines & vocal harmonies so fresh & smooth they could be from dam funk's sample bank. 'prelims' is a bit more shadowy with half-time, dubstep beats, exotic melodies & enigmatic vocal samples creating a driven yet utterly hypnotic sound.
