the breeders
all nerve
4ad
the ‘classic’ line-up do not disappoint with their comeback – an album full of nonlinear, herky-jerky indie-rock delivered with raw, compulsive energy.
the breeders new album grows on you like a bitter-sweet flavour you can’t quite place, and is true to the singularity that always set this band apart. on ‘all nerve’ the band find more space and time to flourish, producing the follow-up to ‘last splash’ you never dared to dream of. if you’ve loved the recent bands they’ve influenced (speedy Ortiz, mitski, sorry, loads others) then you owe it to yourself to get on this. "a wild, visionary, timeless rock album" 8/10 - the skinny, "As vital as any of their previous four LPs. ... All Nerve's highlights are myriad and frequent." 9/10 - uncut
