Mark William Lanegan - was an American Singer/Songwriter/author, and musician. First becoming prominent as the lead singer for the early grunge band Screaming trees, where he was close friends with Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, he was also known as a member of Queens of The Stone Age & The Gutter Twins with Afghan Whigs frontman Greg Dulli…  He released 12 solo studio albums, as well as three collaboration albums with Isobel Campbell and two with Duke Garwood….

Sadly, Mark passed away 22nd February this year at home in Killarney, Ireland, just weeks away from this book being completed…

 

Numerous artists, including Eddie Vedder, Iggy Pop, Moby, John Cale, Sleaford Mods, Peter Hook, Nick Cave, Slash & Manic Street Preachers paid tribute…An obituary in The Guardian by Stevie Chick remembered him as "one of his generation’s most soulful singers".

Iman Kakai-Lazell was born in Iran and moved to London, England at an early age. She studied at Central St Martins – Spatial Design  and Chelsea College of Arts, specialising in Public Art.

 

Iman has had many exhibitions in New York & London, with a yearly solo residence at The Baltic in Borough - 2010-2016 – continuing till date in Amsterdam, London and New York – alongside her new home in the Lakes.
