indebted to classic 60s songwriting & garage rock by the likes of the creation, this 7 shows them at their most open & organic.

recorded in the summer of 2009, ‘my name’ & ‘the war’ were 2 of the 1st songs ever written & recorded by the babies. capturing the band’s raw energy & honest, direct sound, sounding like nancy & lee singing on surfer rosa, the melodies wouldn’t be out of place on a shangri-las record. features ‘my name’ on the a side, a paean to youth & growing up, & ‘the war’ on the b side, a song about confusion & helplessness. it’s a must for fans of the babies, as well as related bands woods & vivian girls.
