the Indie-folk ensemble return with their 3rd album & For the first time the band enlisted a producer to captain the ship & the man in charge was none other than Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters).

Gil certainly rocked Stornoway’s world & shook them out of their comfort zones; helping them cut to the chase, sizing up the new songs and shaping them with raptor precision. Whilst Stornoway’s 2nd album ‘Tales From Terra Firma’ was concerned with very personal stories, 'bonxie' is far more outward looking. It is infused with a humanistic ideal; a sense of humility and wonderment for the forces of nature. for fans of the leisure society, stealing sheep or this is the kit. "if vocal harmony-rich sea shanty 'josephine' & steady soarer 'between the saltmarch & the sea' flag briggs's lovely timbre overlap with the seekers' judith durham, then stornoway's sure footed folk sensibility gets an 80's synth makeover on 'get low'.
