Every year we round up the music (and books) that have most affected us over the course of the past 12 months (not the calendar year, for those of you with canny release date recall!). These are the titles that we’ve returned to, that we can’t get out of our heads, that we’ve ranted and raved about to anyone who will listen. And we hope you do listen as there are some exceptional releases covering the spread from leftfield folk, madcap pop, and boisterous hip-hop to dreamy indie rock, infectious country, and riotous punk.
