Postage Info

postage calculation

we have worked hard to come up with the cheapest & fairest way of calculating postage. it is a very tricky business but ultimately, we intend to keep our postage costs as low as is feasibly possible. however, from time to time, we may need to review & amend our costs or methods for calculation.  your postage will be automatically calculated as you add items to your basket. each item has been assigned a weight, allowing for appropriate packing materials. your basket will be weighed as you add items into it & the postage will then be calculated accordingly.

to keep postage costs as low as possible, if you have placed a large or heavy order, we may need to send it using either a courier service, or it may be sent as more than one parcel.

please note that pre-order items will be treated differently to all normal stock items. all pre-orders will be charged for individually, regardless of their release date & treated as individual shipments.

royal mail collect from us every monday to friday (except bank holidays when royal mail are closed).

tracked postage

all parcels to all regions are now being despatched using the royal mail tracked service. tracking information can be provided upon request, but you should have already received these details when placing your order.

standard untracked postage is still available for uk large letter items only; tracking information will not be available for these orders. if you would like to have your uk large letter order sent as a tracked delivery, you will be given this option at the checkout stage & be shown the appropriate additional cost. just select the “tracked” option.

if your parcel weighs more than 2kg & is being send outside of the uk, it will be sent via courier & tracking information will be provided.

all uk tracked items will receive a communication direct from royal mail containing the relevant tracking details. this is automatic & is usually sent out the day after your order has been collected from us.

tracking information can be found here: https://notifications.royalmail.com.

safeplace delivery changes

courtesy of royal mail:  from the end of september 2022, if there is no recipient in to accept your parcel(s), we may choose to deliver them to a safeplace location at the address, if our postman or postwoman deems that location to be suitable (currently we only leave parcels in a safeplace if the recipient has asked us to directly). in that case, we will also leave a “something for you” card explaining where the parcel(s) is located. if we are unable to find a suitable safeplace and cannot deliver to a neighbour, we will return your parcel(s) to our local royal mail customer service point and leave a “something for you” card at the address.
