a genre-spanning body of work, whose elements of house, soul, disco and pop could mix together into the ultimate, completely original, party playlist.

Joy Anonymous is the brainchild of Henry Counsell, a collective encompassing music, live events and the deeper mission of bringing people together over lockdown. Henry and his production/creative partner Louis Curran started out delivering a series of spontaneous performances at London’s South Bank: soon, the sight of two silhouettes in camping chairs on the Thames beach evolved from just passing strangers into a genuine movement, all brought together via Joy Anonymous’ love of connection, community, and dance culture.
