Wall of Voodoo's 1st Recordings from 1980 featuring “Ring Of Fire.

Remastered by Jim Hill - the original studio engineer. Includes large 24” x 24” poster plus lyric/liner insert. Marble colored vinyl. Originally formed to provide film scores for sci-fi and horror movies. Wall of Voodoo shot to fame in 1983 with their hit single “Mexican Radio” and its accompanying video. Earlier in 1980 they produced this critically acclaimed six track mini album which is now exclusively available for RSD 2024 on Jackpot Records. Featuring the original 1980 artwork, large 24” x 24” poster, Lyric insert and pressed on Marble colored vinyl. All remastered by Jim Hill – the original 1980 studio engineer. Comprised of the haunted vocals and wise beyond his years’ lyrics of Stan Ridgeway, Marc Moreland (formerly of The Skulls) and his brother Bruce (The Weirdos), Joe Nanini (the Bags, The Eyes, and Black Randy and the Metrosquad), and Chas T. Gray. And all the while, a drum machine chopped and spit out some of the strangest rhythms this side of the hip-hop records coming from Rick Rubin’s bedroom in NYC. But maybe the one that put them on the map was their iconic cover of Johnny Cash’s ‘Ring Of Fire’ by far the best cover of that song, if not one of the best covers of all time.
