'DEAD’ - the uncompromising debut album from one of the UK’s most essential and in-demand bands, Young Fathers, is getting a deluxe reissue befitting of its status, to celebrate a decade since the original release, as part of Record Store Day 2024.

Upon release in 2014, the album was the winner of the Mercury Music Prize and was celebrated as one of the albums of the year throughout the music press. The album took the genre defying Scottish trio from underground heroes to being well on their way to one of the country’s most cherished collectives. In the ten years that have passed since DEAD, Young Fathers have released three more acclaimed albums, including ‘Heavy Heavy’ in 2023 which was also nominated for the Mercury and saw them play many huge shows including a triumphant Glastonbury set on the West Holts as well as join Depeche Mode as special guests on a worldwide stadium tour.
