regarded by many as their apex, 'Black Celebration' (1986) cemented the darkening of the sound direction Depeche Mode was heading into.
Cited as one of the most influential albums of the ‘80s, 'Black Celebration' made the British band a dominant force in the electronic music scene. Prior to the album’s release, ‘Fly On The Windscreen’ was originally released as a single’s B-side with a different mix. Further singles that sprung off the album were ‘Stripped’, ‘A Question Of Lust’ & ‘But Not Tonight’.
