Dr. John
Remedies (rsd 20)
get on down
Arriving on the heels of the socially conscious Babylon, Dr John's 1970 album 'Remedies' marked his 3rd studio release under his eccentric, voodoo-inspired "Night Tripper" persona, and his first not to be produced by Harold Bapttiste, instead turning to famed rock producer Tom Dowd.
Featuring a psychedelic and progressive take on Dr. John's signature style of swampy, hazy New Orleans boogie-woogie rock, undoubtedly inspired by his then recent stint in a psych ward. Pressing Exclusive For RSD 2020. First issued in 1970. CD last issued in 2002. Vinyl out of print since the 70s. 2500 copies worldwide.
