James Marriott / AWAL
Brighton's James Marriott presents his second album; one in which he confronts a myriad spectrum of neuroses, uncertainties and self-defeating thought processes.
Brighton's James Marriott presents his second album; one in which he confronts a myriad spectrum of neuroses, uncertainties and self-defeating thought processes. But, as an artist who loves a striking contrast, they’re woven into songs primarily built for joyous, anthemic sing-alongs and boisterous live energy. Carefully curated from over a hundred demos, these songs collectively paint an autobiographical picture of James’s life so far. “I wanted to explore themes from my childhood, and in the second half how attachment theory can affect you as an adult. I wanted to look at things that happened to me whilst I was younger and identify ways in which they have echoed into my current relationships.”
