The debut studio album released by Decca Records in the UK on 17 April 1964 produced by then-managers Andrew Loog Oldham and Eric Easton.

The sleevenotes proudly proclaim “The Rolling Stones are more than just a group – they are a way of life” and the album would be number 1 in the UK for a total of 12 weeks. The American edition of the LP, with a slightly different track list was called England’s Newest Hit Makers. Reflecting the band’s love for R&B, there is only one track credited to Jagger and Richards – “Tell Me (You’re Coming Back)”. Other tracks include” Route 66”, “Carol”, and “Can I Get A Witness”.
