Black Country, New Road
Forever Howlong
Ninja Tune
Breezy instrumentation wafts in as if astride a pacific zephyr, giving the sense that this could have emerged during a particularly fertile 70s prog folk period.
There's a real timeless air to the collective's 3rd outing (and first in their new sans-Isaac guise). The compositions are inventive and beguiling, inviting us back to lose ourselves within their dancing fronds again and again, reinforcing their position as leaders in their field, brace yourselves for a fresh batch of copycats. Black Country, New Road return with their first studio album since 2022’s seminal 'Ants From Up There', & their Mercury Prize-shortlisted debut, 'For The First Time'. The legendary James Ford (Fontaines D.C, The Last Dinner Party, Beth Gibbons) takes the helm as producer, and vocal duties are now shared between Tyler Hyde, Georgia Ellery, and May Kershaw.
