TOM GRENNAN
Everywhere I Went Led Me to Where I Didn't Want to Be
Insanity / Sony Music
Tom's ready to take things to a whole new level still, with this state-of-the-art pop album, made with Justin Tranter.
Keen to explore a new sound, Tom enlisted the songwriter and producer behind hits for Britney Spears, Linkin Park, Dua Lipa and Fall Out Boy and found in Tranter a collaborator who understood exactly what he wanted to say and what he wanted to sound like: George Michael, Prince, Freddie Mercury. “So much of the new music is uplifting — it makes you dance, makes you sing,” Tom says. ‘Shadowboxing’ is the second song to be unveiled from Tom’s forthcoming album following the release of slick, upbeat single ‘Higher’ in September, and was the first song he and Justin Tranter wrote together. “It represents what the whole album is about,” Tom explains. “It's about my fight with a side of me I have a lot of trouble with. It’s still a daily battle. But I’ve learned how to fight all these demons and I’m mentally and physically prepared now. I’m in athlete mode.”
