“'Midnight' was an experiment in fusing house music and systems music made by the likes of Philip Glass and Wim Mertens".

"'Choice', on the other hand, was a case of sampling my own records which consisted of a lot of anarcho-punk - hence the crucifix vocal. I always felt there a lack of social comment and rebellion in house vocals at the time, so I tried to fill the gap with 'Choice'!” – Paul Hartnoll
