We’ve scoured the thesaurus for appropriate adjectives and have come up way short. We can but urge you to listen to this frantic and accomplished record if you’ve let it pass you by until now. They have taken a good few years and a few albums to really find themselves but now, the Brooklyn-based duo of Rachel Brown and Nate Amos are dancing in a frantic lockstep, using heart-palpitating rhythms and absurdist, deadpan lyrics to convey tales of personal and societal unease. Experimental pop music that’s formidable yet pretty.
